What we do
The Open Fire is an immersive experience created by local chefs Jonathon Brooks (of Milktooth and Beholder) and Josh Baker (Milktooth) with his wife Julie Baker. It is a feast for the senses as each dish is cooked over an open fire, either on their own fire tables, a fire pit or the ground. They specialize in whole animals cooked over live fire and each experience is unique. With years of experience building back country fires and cooking over them, they bring a unique ability to cook food that is elevated to a surreal experience. Their pop-up events enliven the senses with smells of smoke coming from the fire table outside. Each dinner is a full menu carefully curated by the chefās to highlight the time of year with local, seasonal faire. Often some items are wild foraged by the Bakerās themselves. Every pop-up is a new experience with a fixed menu that will delight and excite the diner.
